My photographs which were awarded are from series âArchetype of a Woman. Case Studyâ. I chose wet plate collodion technique from 19th-century because it gave me the freedom of artistic expression and the possibility to stimulate imagination.

Selected among 720 entries from 42 countries, and after a preselection done by the curatorial team of the Photography Gala Awards, the Juror has awarded works from Argentina, Australia, Belarus, Canada, China, Colombia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, United States, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, and United Kingdom.

KASIA KALUA KRYNSKA FROM POLAND
Professional photographer Kasia Kalua Krynska from Poland was presented with
the 9th Annual International Color Awards Honors in the category of PORTRAIT at a prestigious Nomination & Winners Photoshow streamed Saturday, March 26, 2016 LOS ANGELES.
The international Jury included captains of the industry from Contrasto, Rome; National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; Whitechapel Gallery, London; DDB, Berlin; Forsman & Bodenfors, Gothenburg; Art Beatus Hong Kong; DB Agency, Milan; InStyle Magazine, New York and Kunst Haus Wien, Vienna who honored Color Masters in 33 categories.
“It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the 5,678 entries we received this year,” said Basil O’Brien, the awards Creative Director. “Kasia’s Above The Clouds, an exceptional image entered in the Portrait category, represents contemporary color photography at its finest, and we’re pleased to present her with the title of Honorable Mention.”
“The variety of entries was astonishing,” said juror Lilli Langenheim, Senior Art Director of DDB Berlin. “Some of the work is truly powerful; Fine Art, Sport, Portrait, Nature in professional was really inspiring and the Wildlife category in amateur was one of the most exciting,” added jury member Daria Bonera, Owner of DB Agency in Milan.
INTERNATIONAL COLOR AWARDS is the leading international award honoring excellence in color photography. This celebrated event shines a spotlight on the best professional and amateur photographers worldwide and honors the finest images with the highest achievements in color photography.

Photo-dokumental series Crossing by Kasia Kalua Krynska is part of an interdisciplinary project
The Promised City, which is dedicated to the theme of searching for happiness and promise in contemporary cities like Berlin, Warsaw and Mumbai.
Crossing is a series of photographs, which were taken in the Shelter-home for Underage and Penitentiary Institution for girls aged 13-21 years in Warsaw, Falenica. This closed institution with rigid order is established as educational and therapeutic support center for underage girls with difficult past.
