Waiting For The Tide is a series of photos that was created in the years 2012-2014 while traveling in Ireland. Picturesque beaches, vast peat bogs, predatory rocks and frequent weather changes characteristic for this region create a theatrical setting, full of dramatic contrasts, which is complemented by an unusual play of light.
The rhythm of life is determined by the tides and outflows … Contemplating this continual movement, symbolized by the storms of clouds chased from place to place by the strong western wind, we learn to accept the cyclical nature of change, from which there is no shelter. That’s how the unusual aura of the green island manifests itself. 5,000 miles on the winding roads of the Irish coast, camera without a lens (pinhole), light registered directly on a medium format film – for me it is getting straight to the real source hidden in nature and in each of us.
